Build a small listening journal

Record the composer, work, movement and performers. Add one observation about rhythm, texture or contrast. A phrase such as a low repeated pulse is enough; you do not need to identify every instrument correctly.

Choose one question for a later listen. Check booklet notes or a library reference for names and dates, keeping those facts separate from your impressions. Short entries are easier to maintain than an exhaustive catalogue.
